These are renders of Bahtez the Nakurian - my original character and original species design inspired by the poison dart frog. Nakurians are hexapod, vertebrate social predators from the planet Nakur 12. Nakurians have a rich wealth of biotechnology, but as their planet lacks fossil fuel deposits and sizable metal deposits, they are reliant entirely on off-planet transportation companies for space travel. Bahtez is a diplomat who is focused on securing trade lines of raw materials for spacecraft to Nakur 12, so that the planet can become more economically independent. On Nakur 12, it is considered polite and respectful to resolve disputes through combat using the species' specialized hind limbs. Other species find this prospect offensive - so Bahtez's hind limbs are atrophied from disuse. They work hard to keep their diplomatic juniors' fighting instincts at bay, and are ambitious in their field, if a bit nerdy.
